The representative confirmed that it was a scam because "no job/employee will give you money and ask for it back or have you pay for office supplies." The representative was glad that I canceled the Zelle transaction and the amount came back. I called my bank and told them everything. She proceed with "I guess we have to wait the next day." Thankfully, I entered the email address wrong and I cancelled it right away and told her that there is now a hold. Once it was in my account, she asked me to Zelle the payment to a "private vendor" so they could start working on my order for the work laptop. They gave me a check for $2,200.25 via email and asked me to print it and deposit it into my account via the mobile app. They conducted an interview and everything through the Signal app. I knew it was too good to be true, but I fell for it since I was desperate for a job.
